Thai Association of Tasmania (TATAS) is a non-profit organisation aiming to provide assistance to its members and promoting the unity of the Thai community in Tasmania. TATAS aims to promote cultural awareness among Thai community in Tasmania and develop and promote goodwill between Thai-Australians and various ethnic/cultural groups in the State of Tasmania.
The purposes of the Association are to:
+ To promote and advance the rights, interests and welfare of Thai residents in Tasmania.
+ To represent and provide assistance to its members within and out of Tasmania.
+ To foster harmony among Thai community in Tasmania.
+ To organise, co-ordinate, and support activities for the Thai community in Tasmania.
+ To promote Thai culture, its language and arts among Thai community as well as other cultural groups within Tasmania.
+ To be the central point of contact for both Thai-Australians and Australians alike in Tasmania.
+ To support and promote Thai products and Thai businesses.
